40th Real Florida 5K/10K

The 40th Annual Real Florida 5K/10K Cross Country Run

10K start time: 8:30  -  5K start time: 8:45
This is the only 5K/10K in the area that is run entirely off-road,
on beautiful trails through Wekiwa Springs State Park.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Wekiva Wilderness Trust, a non-profit devoted to supporting the State Parks in the Wekiva River Basin including Wekiwa Springs State Park. 

Light refreshments and awards will be presented following the completion of both races. A coffee food truck* will be on site for those who wish to purchase before, during and after the race.

Every finisher gets a medal and commemorative t-shirt. There are prizes for the 4 overall winners (fastest female 5K/10K, and fastest male 5K/10K) plus each age group 5K & 10K race winners (male and female).  All registrants will also be entered into a chance drawing to win additional prizes.

Real Florida 5K/10K is capped at 350 runners, so reserve your spot today! Sorry... park rules.

What is a virtual race and how does it work?

Run your 5K or 10K race any time between Feb 1, 2027 and Sunday Feb 25, 2027.  Run your distance anywhere you want.  


"ItsYourRace" Mobile App

Use the free ItsYourRace mobile app to track, measure, and time your walk/run.  The app will notify you when you have completed your distance and prompt you to add your time to the online results.  It will even let you upload a selfie/photo from your phone which will be included with your online results.

If you don't want to use the ItsYourRace app you may measure/time your run with another app (e.g. MapMyRun, RunKeeper, or Strava) or your GPS or just time yourself with your watch.  After your run go to the online results for 5K Virtual Race or 10K Virtual Race, find your name under your distance, click the "Update Time" button and type in your time.
